Inova Alexandria Hospital is hosting its annual health expo on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the US Patent and Trademark Office, 600 Dulany Street, Alexandria. This event is free and open to the public.

This year?s Health Expo will feature:

Seminars and Interactive Demonstrations

• 10:45 a.m. - Cooking Healthy Demonstration: A fun and interactive demonstration on healthy cooking.
• 11:30 a.m. - How Stress Affects Your Health: Chronic stress can lead to depression, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and anxiety. Learn how your body reacts to stress and how to reduce stress through nutrition, exercise, relaxation and supportive relationships.
• 1:15 p.m. - Fitness Class: This class will offer a combination of Zumba, Tae Bo and Melt led by Sport and Health instructors. Bring your sneakers and prepare to sweat!

Health Screenings and Massage

? Blood pressure ? Body mass index ? Skin cancer screening ? Massage

Health and Wellness Booth: Talk with hospital staff about cancer awareness and prevention, back pain, cardiac health, heartburn, nutrition, joint health, and more!
